We have often visited Snape Maltings and eaten at the Plough & Sail but never at The Golden Key. Perhaps this is because as you drive to the Maltings you pass the turning for the pub without even realising that it is there. The Golden Key is a lovely traditional pub with Inglenook fireplaces and a wealth of exposed beams. Alex and Oliver have completely renovated it with fresh paintwork and reupholstered the furniture but still retained the traditional feel. Alex says that they want to establish a popular country dining pub with a relaxed atmosphere and a reputation for great food.
