Win Dinner and a 1 night stay for 2 people at The Oaksmere

WINE AND DINE
Whether dining in our traditional Tudor pub, with its own well, around a winter log fire, or eating in our stylish restaurant, our chefs produce fine-quality cuisine throughout, utilising the best locally-sourced produce. Blythburgh pork and Gressingham duck feature on the menu, and Aspall cyder and Adnams ales, along with guest beers, are carefully selected from throughout Norfolk and Suffolk. Our own local beef and pork is hung and butchered on-site in our butchery and we are currently developing a kitchen garden.

We are very proud of our extensive wine list with more than 90 vintages to choose from and you can enjoy a cocktail or glass of champagne in our stylish conservatory bar. In summer you can dine alfresco on our beautiful sun-trap terrace, created by Chelsea Gold Medal-winning designer Thomas Hoblyn, or enjoy our outdoor barbecue on the lawns while the children play in our magnificent pirate ship treehouse ‘The Jolly Conkerer’.

RECLINE – IN THE LAP OF LUXURY
The perfect combination of original features and contemporary finishes, our 14 individual boutique bedrooms are fitted with the latest technology. Each room is different – high ceilings and large sash windows in the Victorian wing, and cosy Tudor rooms with old oak beams. Ten rooms are in the main building while our four Coach House rooms, two with private terraces, overlook our relaxing kitchen garden and are ideal for families. One room is fully equipped for wheelchair users. Massage and beauty treatments are also available in the privacy of your own room, after which you can luxuriate in our well-appointed bathrooms. Whirlpool baths and rainhead showers, Sky TV and in-room audio, Nespresso coffee and Elemis cosmetics all help you enjoy the ultimate in luxury in the heart of the beautiful Suffolk countryside.

CELEBRATE AND EXPLORE
From our position, situated at the heart of East Anglia, access to the whole region is easy whether by road or rail. The A140 and A143 bring Norwich, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, the Broads and the beautiful Suffolk coast within easy reach. Diss railway station, only two miles away, brings you from London in 90 minutes and Norwich in just 17. We are happy to collect and drop you at Diss station. Diss Golf Club is only a mile away where we can arrange green fees.

Whether a special anniversary for two, a corporate function, or a larger event for friends and family, we are determined to ensure that we host a completely unique event for you within the hotel, restaurant and gardens. Our team of bespoke event planners are on hand to organise any occasion you wish to arrange here – and to ensure it runs flawlessly so you can relax and enjoy the day.
The marquee in our beautiful grounds for larger functions, weddings and events is now available. Please visit our website for further details.
