Where care counts
All Hallows, based in Ditchingham and Bungay, has been providing care for well over a century and has a long and successful relationship locally earning a high reputation. It provides a range of services including rehabilitative, intermediate, residential, respite and therapeutic care as well as a range of home and daycare services. As we move into the winter months with shorter days, for many this means spending more time at home, and the amount of people feeling lonely and socially isolated tends to increase. Loneliness can have a big impact on someone’s well-being. Feeling cut off from others and their community can have an effect both mentally and physically.
All Hallows Daycare offers a place of warmth and friendship for adults, in particular the elderly, disabled and those with neurodegenerative conditions.
Daycare provides a regular day out, reduces isolation, encourages socialisation, helps people to maintain their skills and independence, and enjoy a freshly cooked meal in the company of others. It offers a valuable break for carers too. Staff are professionally trained and the centre is purpose built with hoist facilities for people with different levels of care needs and has two adapted minibuses that offer transport (subject to availability). Daycare brings people together, creates and maintains friendships and offers a range of one-to-one and group activities, including live entertainment and day trips. The friendly team welcome anyone interested in joining Daycare to look around the facilities and encourage their friends and family to come along too for a cup of tea and a chat. They can give advice on funding and transport and offer a FREE trial session. If you or someone you know would benefit from coming to Daycare at All Hallows, please don’t hesitate in contacting, Linda, the Daycare Manager on 01986 891999.
All Hallows also run a Meals-on-Wheels service seven days a week for people living within an 8 mile radius of Ditchingham. Often people choose to attend Daycare once a week and have meals delivered to their home for the rest of the week. Some folks have meals on wheels every Sunday, and others have them every day; the important thing to remember is people can choose to have meals on wheels as little or as often as they like. Each day there is a choice of three different dishes and all dietary requirements are catered for. Meals are delivered hot and ready to eat between 12pm-1.30pm; one course is £5.45, and two courses is £6.35 (delivery included). A cold tea time option is also available for those having a lunch. To learn more about meals on wheels, please contact Jill, the Meals on Wheels Coordinator on 01986 891676.
All Hallows Healthcare Trust continues to provide vital and much needed support to members of our community. The passionate and dedicated team of professionals deliver person centered care, support and treatment with dignity, compassion and respect. There are few parts of East Anglia where such an integrated service is available.
