Jay Jerome, Charlie Roadley-Battin, and partners try some creative alfresco pan asian cuisine in Ipswich

So, another food review, another amazing place to eat and drink and another excuse for the wife to get glammed up and be treated by me. Haha. This time we had the pleasure of visiting Aqua Eight accompanied by Charlie and her husband Christian, whom we met downstairs in the outdoor area for pre-dinner drinks.

This very sophisticated restaurant has been open in Ipswich town centre since 2006 with brothers Patrick, a trained chef, who created Aqua Eight’s signature blend of Pan-Asian fusion dishes, and Vincent, who is trained in hospitality management, leads the front of house team. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel very welcome and are more than happy to attend your every need. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it was easy to have a conversation with the music playing in the background.

Now back to our dinner date. Once we were ready, we were escorted up to our beautifully set table and looked at the extensive menu. We all decided to have a mixture of starters so we could all taste something different. Rosie and I really enjoyed the chargrilled sirloin beef and asparagus rolls in teriyaki sauce and Charlie and Christian loved the fried soft shell crab basket saying that it was full of flavour.
