Jay Jerome does the first ever review of the new Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Ipswich
So, this is my wife’s idea of heaven, steak, steak and more steak. As we arrived at the Miller & Carter Steakhouse we quickly realised that it was a world away from the days of ‘The Shepherd and Dog’ that it once was. With a complete refurbishment, comfortable seating, beautiful lighting we were very much looking forward to our meal and being happily greeted by Kari, the assistant manager, was just the beginning.
When speaking to the General Manager Jack Taylor we realised that his heart and soul was in his restaurant. He told us about the intense training he has gone through to enable him to understand the process of how the steak gets to the plate. All the restaurant’s meat comes from carefully selected farms which then gets sent to the same butcher to be prepared in the same way.
This Miller & Carter restaurant is 1 of 45 in the country and has been open for 6 weeks, and business is thriving, and with the new dining areas they have created outside, summer dining will be at its best.
