About us

Craftsman Glass Limited is a specialist glass and glazing company. As well as the usual services you would expect from a glass company we also specialise in bespoke stained glass, leaded lights, and a wide range of other glass products. The company was awarded a prestigious design award by the Diocese of Chelmsford advisory committee (DAC) for outstanding craftsmanship at St. Lukes Church Tiptree Essex.

Qualified Tradesmen

With over 35 years of experience, our independently-owned company uses purpose built, fully equipped facilities to carry out all glass work. We only employ the most qualified tradesmen in order to ensure that all of our products are of the highest quality. We are one of the leading manufacturers of traditional hand crafted Leaded Lights and Stained Glass in East Anglia. We carry full liability insurance and the windows we remove are insured both in transit and in our workshop and treated with respect until the restored panels are re fitted on site.

Leaded Lights

We specialise in the restoration and refurbishment of all types of stained glass and leaded lights. We work on Churches, listed and traditional buildings, and public houses as well as more modern buildings such as hotels and schools. Leaded Light manufacture is a very skilled job, every window we make starts with a full-size drawing and all the glass is selected and cut by hand. We don’t use any machines or grinders to cut the shaped glass it is all done with a simple glass cutter and a wealth of experience. You can visit our leaded light studio to see your work being manufactured.

Stained Glass Services

In addition to designing, restoring and manufacturing leaded light windows, we offer traditional and contemporary stained-glass designs. If you give us your size requirements, we can provide you with a FREE estimate and helpful advice.

Church Window Renovations

We carry out work on Churches and listed buildings all over east Anglia, and can supply references from architects, glass companies and stone masons. We can remove traditional leaded lights from stonework, re-lead the windows using all existing glass possible, matching missing and damaged glass with nearest matching. We also supply and fit galvanised and stainless steel wire window guards, and brass or bronze saddle bars and lead condensation trays.
